The court cards (picture cards) display former monarchs of Britain, along with their names and dates, and this pack was issued without a joker. The four aces offer a potted history of England's royal succession and coats of arms. The Ace of Spades is the manufacturer's card, and displays the words 'Goodall and Son London' in an oak leaf (left side) and laurel (right side) wreath. This is also the ace that represents the time of Queen Victoria, since the coat of arms is the one that represented England from the time of Victoria, and still represents England today (2014).
