"This vintage engraving depicts the portrait of Russian General Nikolay Nikolayevich Muravyov-Amursky (also spelled Nikolai Muraviev-Amurskiy, 1809 - 1881). He was a Russian statesman and diplomat who governed in Eastern Siberia and negotiated several treaties and agreements with China. Engraved by D.J.
