This depiction of Charity is on the side of a granite plinth that supports a bronze statue of King Edward VII outside Tooting Broadway Underground Station in London SW17. It was erected in 1911. Edward VII was King of the United Kingdom and the British Dominions, and Emperor of India, from 22 January 1901 until his death in 1910. The bronze statue was sculpted by Louis Fritz Roselieb, and is Grade II listed. The statue was unveiled on 4 November 1911 by the Mayor of Wandsworth, Archibald Dawnay.
