Drillers operate a portable drilling rig to sink a 10 metre hole on the summit of Mount Morgan overlooking the Haupiri Valley, West Coast, New Zealand on May 7, 2024. The hole will be used for seismic GPS monitoring instruments to measure movement along the Alpine Fault which runs near the base of the mountain.
