High Resolution JPEG Picture of This Erythrina poeppigiana tree, seen here over blue sky, grows in north South America, specially in Venezuela and is emblematic in Merida State. The tree, also called Bucare or even cambulo, pisamo o cachimbo flowers in february of each year, dry season. Its flowers are made of five leaves with colors varying from yellow to red which make them look intense orange covering the whole tree for a few weeks, avegare of four weeks. The rest of the year its leaves are green. The flower nectar attracts many insects and birds making a beautiful mix of colorful trees, birds and insects. Some years the tree flowers twice, depending on the tropical summer, if it get very dry, it may also flower around september. [465152848] stock photo
