Famous great gallery horseshoe
High Resolution JPEG Picture of The famous Great Gallery in Horseshoe Canyon is 200 feet long, 15 feet high, and contains dozens of fascinating red, brown, and white pictographs. The panel is believed to be thousands of years old and was created during the late archaic period. It contains one of the finest displays and best preserved of prehistoric Indian rock art in the United States. Located in a detached unit of Canyonlands National Park in Utah, this area was added to the park in 1971 to protect this amazing collection of rock art.
