Little Manitou lake is a real gem, about 1.5 hrs from Regina, Moose Jaw and Saskatoon, makes this a ideal get away. This lake was formed by receding glaciers, along with evaporation. It has a specific gravity of 1.6, about five times the salt of the oceans water. Its funny to watch inexperienced people rent canoes, the canoes ride a lot higher than in a normal lake and lots of times end up tipping the canoe over, don't bring your cellphone or watch or camera out there, Basically its pretty hard to drown.
