In the heart of Nordby stands a deep yellow clock tower on a rise of cobblestones. In 1857, the bell tower that stands today was built. Until 2011, it was the gravedigger at Nordby Church who ensured that the bell was rung. Today, the ringing is carried out by a voluntary Ringing Guild, founded by citizens in Nordby. The Ringing Guild no longer rings for worship but content themselves with pulling the rope at sunrise and sunset from Easter to the autumn holiday, as well as on Saturdays and Sundays for the rest of the year.
