Each court card (picture card) features the arms of two Swiss cantons, or member states. The King of Hearts features the arms of Unterwalden (now Obwalden and Nidwalden) and Uri. Each court card also displays two different Swiss national costumes. The pack was issued by Jean Muller of Schaffhouse in Switzerland, and each of the 52 card backs depicts a different scene from Switzerland.
