
The Pathok Negoro Melangi Mosque is a form of respect for Kyai Nur Iman (the older brother of Prince Mangkubumi who has the title Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono I) for his services in spreading the word of religion in the Mlangi area. The "Pathok Negoro Mlangi" mosque was founded along with the birth of the Mlangi area, which was a gift of fief land from Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono I to Kyai Nur Iman in 1758. The Mlangi Mosque stands on 1,000 square meters of land. Behind the mosque, there is a tomb which is sacred to the community. The tomb was made into a house made of wood.
