High Resolution JPEG Picture of This is a closeup of the the spines on the trunk of a Sandbox Tree (Hura crepitans), which is also known as a Possumwood Tree, Jabillo Tree, Dynamite Tree, or a Monkey No-climb Tree. The tree is native to the tropical regions of North America, South America, and the West Indies. It is recognized by its brown bark, and stout spines. These spines have caused the tree to be called a Monkey no-climb Tree. The tree is also called a Dynamite Tree, because of the explosive sound the fruit makes as it splits open.
