Suggestive view archaeological area
High Resolution JPEG Picture of A suggestive view of the archaeological area of the Theatre of Marcellus, between the Jewish Ghetto and the Capitoline hill of the Campidoglio (the Roman Capitol Hill), in the historic heart of Rome. Built during the reign of Emperor Augustus in the southern area of the ancient Campus Martius, the Theater of Marcellus is still partially preserved as part of the large archaeological area of the Roman Forum. In 1980 the historic center of Rome was declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco. Image in high definition format.
