The stunning and magnificent central nave of the church of St. Louis of the French, in the historic and baroque heart of Rome, near Piazza Navona. Built between 1518 and 1589 by the architects Giacomo Della Porta and Domenico Fontana, the church was consecrated on 8 October 1589. This Catholic temple is the national church in Rome of France, dedicated to the figure of King St. Louis IX. The church is very famous and visited for the presence of the triptych of paintings on the life of Saint Matthew by Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio, kept in the Contarelli Chappel.
